Announcing Stellar Quest Live Series 5: Soroban

Attention developers and questers! After a year-long hiatus, Stellar Quest Live is back. And this time, we’re focusing on all things Soroban. We’ll be releasing six quests between November 10th and December 1st (peep the full schedule below), where questers will battle each other in real-time competitions to complete each challenge. Tell your friends, tell your enemies, and let’s have some good, clean fun!
As mentioned, Stellar Quest Live Series 5 will focus on Stellar’s smart contracts platform, Soroban, and will take place on Futurenet. This series of quests is designed for the beginner Soroban developer, and you can even be extra prepared by completing our Stellar Quest Live: Soroban Pioneer Quest before November 10th. This Pioneer Quest will help you learn about and set up essentials such as Gitpod, Rust, and Futurenet.
Let’s get into some more details.
Stellar Quest Live Series 5: Soroban schedule
Starting on November 10th, we’ll be releasing quests every Thursday evening at 6pm PST/9pm EST and Monday morning at 6am PST/9am EST until December 1st (skipping American Thanksgiving weekend). Here is the full schedule:
- Quest 1: November 10th, 6pm PST / 9pm EST
- Quest 2: November 14th, 6am PST / 9am EST
- Quest 3: November 17th, 6pm PST / 9pm EST
- Quest 4: November 21st, 6am PST / 9am EST
- Quest 5: November 28th, 6am PST / 9am EST
- Quest 6: December 1st, 6 pm PST / 9pm EST
In addition, SDF’s Tyler van der Hoeven and Anuhya Challagundla will host live Twitch streams on the StellarOrg channel an hour before each quest release. Pop in to ask questions, provide feedback, or just get hyped on the return of Stellar Quest Live! The streams may even reveal hints that will help you in upcoming quests.
What’s in it for me?
Besides some good ol’ competition? You’ll earn unique NFT badges for every quest you complete and have the chance to earn XLM rewards. We’ll be distributing 534k XLM over the six quests to those who finish each challenge the quickest.
If competition and rewards don’t motivate you, why not a little bit of learning? Stellar Quest Live: Soroban is a great way to dig into Soroban and Web3 development. By the end of the event, you’ll hopefully have what it takes to build something of your own and maybe even submit it to Sorobanathon: First Light.
