Recap

Consensus: Distributed is coming up next week and the team here at SDF is looking forward to taking the virtual stage in the Foundations track on Tuesday May 12 at 10:30 am ET. We’ve lined up an exciting group of speakers to share the latest news, developments, insights, and trends about the Stellar network — plus the opportunity to hear directly from the businesses operating live on Stellar today.

We’ll kick the hour off with opening remarks on Stellar in 2020 from SDF’s CEO and Executive Director, Denelle Dixon, and co-Founder and Chief Architect, Jed McCaleb. They’ll share why, in the face of today’s global challenges, they believe more than ever in the need for Stellar to connect the world’s financial infrastructure and how Stellar is off to a strong start in 2020 to deliver. They’ll provide updates on our work in pursuit of our mission and the progress we’ve made on all three of our strategic growth pillars: ensuring the robustness and usability of Stellar, being the blockchain people know and trust, and fostering sustainable Stellar use-cases.

We’ll also be joined by Karen Hsu, the CEO of BlockchainIntel, who will lead a presentation on the Strengths of Stellar. She’ll take a closer look at the health and maturity of the Stellar network and share her take on key indicators and growth metrics for Stellar in 2020.

Last, but certainly not least, we’ll invite members of our ecosystem up for a series of short presentations called Built on Stellar, which will provide the opportunity to learn how Stellar is designed to connect the world's financial infrastructure directly from the businesses building on the network today. You'll hear from Stellar-based businesses — DSTOQ, Keybase, and Cowrie — about how they leverage the power and advantages of the network to issue assets, create apps, and bring financial services to new and emerging markets.

We’re excited to share how Stellar is working towards a more inclusive, interoperable global financial system. We hope you’ll join us on May 12 at 10:30 am ET! Register here today and bookmark us on the agenda.

You can also catch Jed on Monday at 12:30 pm ET for an AMA on The Evolution of Cryptocurrencies. undefined
