What Is Your Chamber?
The mission of the Greater Pittsburgh Chamber of Commerce is to conduct activities and solve problems to create a more competitive business climate for the firms located in this region. Simply stated your Chamber is business and professional people working together to make your community a better place for everyone.

Who Are Your Chamber's Members?
As the leading business organization in Western Pennsylvania, the Chamber boasts over 2,500 members ranging from the entrepreneurial, single employee business to international conglomerates employing thousands. Its diverse membership offers unlimited opportunities for developing ideas, cultivating business relationships and working toward one common goal: the continuing excellence of Greater Pittsburghs business community.

Who Leads Your Chamber?
The Chamber is dedicated to working for its members. General direction and policy are set by a Board of Directors composed of business and professional leaders from various sectors of the community. Day to day operations are carried out by a full time staff of professionals. Members often become involved in Chamber activities and the community by working on committees. These committees range from governmental affairs, membership development and special projects to international trade.

What Are The Objectives Of Your Chamber?
By sponsoring programs in areas such as legislation, education, world trade, infrastructure improvement and public image, the Chamber helps to create a more competitive and healthy business climate for the firms in the Greater Pittsburgh region:

    Since its incorporation in 1878, the Greater Pittsburgh Chamber of Commerce has been providing its members with valuable resources for effective business planning. The Chamber, identified as the leader in its field, intends to maintain and strengthen its leadership by developing innovative membership benefits and programs in its continuing effort to serve members most crucial and diverse needs.

    The program areas offered by the Chamber contribute to the enhancement of the business climate and the quality of life in the Greater Pittsburgh area.
