Programs to Identify Potential Foreign Customers, Agents, Distributors

Lists of foreign firms - Foreign Traders Index:
Customized trade mailing lists for specific products and foreign countries can be generated from the Department's computer database of over 50,000 foreign importers.(NTDB) (25 cents per name, $10 minimum per list).

Agent/Distributor Service:
The US&FCS will conduct an overseas search for a foreign agent or distributor for a specific U.S. product or service. Currently available in 113 countries at a cost of $250 per country.

Trade Opportunities Program:
Foreign sales leads for specific products are identified and transmitted daily by US&FCS overseas posts. Available electronically via the Department's Economic Bulletin Board or in published form. (Please call for details).

Visits to foreign countries use the Gold Key Service:
US&FCS overseas posts will arrange a schedule of appointments for U.S. firms with potential foreign business partners. This program, aimed at facilitating contacts with selected foreign companies, is currently available in 64 countries. (Cost varies by country - call for details).
